Some Participants of the 'Holy Struggle' Detained
Moses Sharbatyan, the assistant to Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, has been detained for two months. The investigation regarding the detention of Tigran Galstyan has concluded, and the decision will be announced at 11:00 AM.
The court has granted the investigator's request to detain blogger Armen Aleksanyan for two months. Reserve Colonel Mirhan Maksudyan has also been detained for two months. Active participant of the Holy Struggle, Lydia Mantashyan, has likewise been detained for two months.
It is noteworthy that a session of the Supreme Spiritual Council took place at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, resulting in a statement expressing the Council's concern regarding the actions of law enforcement agencies against Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan and his associates, as well as the serious charges being brought against them. The Council condemned attempts to link this process with the Church and urged relevant authorities not to succumb to political manipulation, adhering to the requirements of the Republic of Armenia's Constitution and laws while respecting the principle of presumption of innocence.
