Pezeshkian Opposes Strengthening Relations with Israel
Tehran is ready to cooperate with regional countries to strengthen security, peace, and stability in the region. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
In a recent telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Pezeshkian said that Iran supports efforts to create a region free of nuclear and weapons of mass destruction.
The president called on regional players for constructive cooperation to organize security measures and stabilize the world. Pezeshkian emphasized that the creation of a region free of nuclear weapons must include Israel.
He noted that the Islamic Republic was compelled to launch missile strikes on a major US airbase in Qatar in response to Washington's direct involvement in Israel's military aggression against Iran.
The Iranian president warned that Israel seeks to sow discord and conflict among Islamic countries and is opposed to the strengthening of their relations.
