It’s a Matter of National Security: Deputy Mayor

When the church transforms into a political entity leading to anti-state propaganda and the loss of sovereignty, it becomes a matter of national security. This is no longer a question of religious or faith-related issues. This statement was made by Yerevan Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan.

“We must distinguish between when the discussion concerns spiritual, non-political matters and when all of this is used as a veil to cover very concrete political or anti-state activities. What is happening now is about sidelining anti-state processes,” said Grigoryan.
