Iran Considers Strikes on US Military Bases in Case of New Aggression
Iran is contemplating strikes on American military bases in the event of new aggression, according to statements made by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei.
"The fact that the Islamic Republic has access to important American centers in the region and can take action against them when deemed necessary is not a matter of a minor incident, but of a major incident that can be repeated in the future. The aggressor will pay a high price in the event of an attack," Khamenei stated.
It is notable that Israel and Iran agreed to establish a ceasefire on the night of June 24; however, the chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Eyal Zamir, announced the same day that Israel's military campaign against Iran is not over, and a new phase is expected, although in the Gaza Strip.
Khamenei asserted that Iran has already triumphed over Israel. It's worth noting that Israel attacked Iran on the night of June 13, targeting Iran's nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile production facilities, and other military sites.
In response, Tehran initiated military operations against Israel. The United States entered the conflict on the night of June 22, launching strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites in Isfahan, Fordow, and Natanz. The Pentagon announced the destruction of Iran's nuclear program, which was confirmed by Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stating that the nuclear sites sustained serious damage.
On June 23, Iran attacked the Al-Udeid American military base in Qatar, the largest American military base in the Middle East, but warned the US and Qatar of its intentions beforehand. As a result, there were no casualties.
Following the attack on the military base, Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. According to data from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, 28 people have died and 1,472 have been injured as a result of Iranian strikes targeting Israel during the military conflict. Iran, citing its Ministry of Health, reported 627 deaths and at least 4,870 injuries.
