Can you imagine how to manage them now? Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia stated during today’s government meeting that electricity production decreased slightly in May, and this decline is partly explained by a decrease in internal demand, according to the minister’s comments.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, noted that the decrease is due to the production of autonomous power plants. "Mainly, small economies up to 15 kW generate and consume electricity themselves, which does not reflect in the total output. In recent years, the number of solar power plants has significantly increased. Currently, we have approximately 770 MW of installed capacity, which is double that of our nuclear power plant," he stated.
Pashinyan responded, "Can you imagine that without noticing we have received two nuclear power plants? Now the question is how to manage those two nuclear power plants. That is the second issue."
