Peskov Comments on Pashinyan's Statements

The Press Secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, has addressed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements regarding an attempted coup in Armenia.

“Pashinyan's statement about preventing an attempt at a coup in Armenia is an internal matter for Yerevan,” he said.

Peskov emphasized that Moscow is interested in maintaining legality in Yerevan and in seeing Armenia as a prosperous country alongside friendly Russia.

Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan announced that law enforcement agencies had thwarted a potential attempt to seize power, which was allegedly planned by participants of the opposition 'Holy Struggle' movement.
