Bagrat Srabazani's Lawyer Reveals New Details

In the justification for the request to detain Bagrat Srabazani, it was stated that he should be arrested because he holds opposition views and may continue his opposition activities. This was stated to Factinfo by Bagrat Srabazani's lawyer, Sergey Harutyunyan.

“Although we are in a discriminatory and unjust situation, as the Investigative Committee and Civic regularly publish different materials from the criminal case, while we are prohibited from saying anything due to the secrecy of the pre-trial investigation, nonetheless, there was a remarkable formulation in the request for detention that Srabazani should be arrested because he has opposition views and may continue his opposition activities. This means that henceforth, any person who has opposition views can be subjected to detention. In this way, a climate of fear is being created, showing that if a person expresses dissent or resistance, they will end up in a correctional facility,” emphasized Sergey Harutyunyan.
