This was an obvious preparation for a terrorist act, says Simonyan

Considering the actions carried out by the Investigative Committee that revealed a coup plan, the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, stated during a public broadcast: "You used the term coup, but I can say that this was obviously a preparation for a terrorist act and we cannot differentiate between this action and October 27 in any form," he remarked. Simonyan noted that this was a case of saving from a new October 27.

It is noteworthy that this morning law enforcement agencies conducted operations in the homes of Bishop Bagrat and his supporters. Later, he and 16 others were arrested, and a petition has been submitted to the court for their detention.
