Levon Ter-Petrosyan Hosts the Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians

The first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, hosted the Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians, Garegin II, at his residence today. The information was reported by Arman Musinyan, the spokesperson for the first president.

The conversation lasted for about an hour. According to Ter-Petrosyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan embodies defeat and is certain to lose in the war declared against the Armenian Church.

“During the hour-long discussion, in addition to assessing the current situation in Armenia, the conversation also touched upon the actions taken against Samvel Karapetyan by Pashinyan, which relate to the government's declared war on the Church. This was prompted by a recent statement from Karapetyan in this context: ‘If we cannot succeed politically, then we will also participate in our own way in all of this.’ This statement is nothing more than a typical political declaration, a right he possesses as a citizen of Armenia,” Musinyan wrote on his Facebook page.
