IAEA Issues Statement on the Condition of Iran's Nuclear Facilities
Iran's nuclear facilities have suffered significant damage due to U.S. airstrikes. This was stated by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, in an interview with Fox News.
“We are seeing very serious damage in three nuclear facilities. The first was the Natanz facility. One of the halls, which houses very important centrifuges used for uranium enrichment, has been severely damaged. Even the underground part has been hit—first indirectly, then directly,” Grossi emphasized.
Speaking about the facility located in the city of Isfahan, the Director General noted, “This complex includes several buildings, and various technological works are being conducted here. However, this area has also suffered serious damage.”
Grossi also added that the Fordow nuclear facility was better fortified. “There too, serious damage has been caused by the bombs. However, no one has yet entered and seen the situation directly,” he remarked.
