Samvel Karapetyan Transferred to Yerevan-Center Penitentiary

Samvel Karapetyan has been transferred to the Yerevan-Center penitentiary located within the National Security Service of Armenia. This was reported to Auroranews by the press secretary of the Penitentiary Service, Nona Navikyan.

It is important to recall that Samvel Karapetyan faces charges under part 2 of Article 422 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to public calls aimed at seizing power, violating territorial integrity, renouncing sovereignty, or violently overthrowing the constitutional order. These calls were allegedly made through publicly displayed works, mass media, or communication technologies.

Additionally, it should be noted that Samvel Karapetyan has been placed in custody for two months.
