I Welcome the Statements Regarding Iran: Director-General of IAEA
I welcome the statements regarding the situation related to Iran. The resumption of cooperation with the IAEA is the key to a successful agreement. This was stated by the Director-General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that this step could lead to a diplomatic resolution of the long-standing dispute over Iran’s nuclear program and suggested a meeting in the near future.
It is noteworthy that, unlike Iran, Israel is not a member of the IAEA, along with Cuba and North Korea. Additionally, Israel, along with North Korea, India, and Pakistan, is not a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and for those reasons, the IAEA does not have the capability to verify Israel's nuclear facilities.
