Turkey Denies Use of Its Airspace for Attack on Iran
Claims circulating in various circles that American fighters participating in an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities utilized Turkish airspace are misinformation. This was stated in a press release from the Turkish presidential communications office.
It was noted that just as Turkish airspace was not used by Israel during its attacks on Iran, it was absolutely not used by the United States when targeting nuclear facilities in Iran. The statement also indicated that the aforementioned bombers returned to U.S. territory along the same route after the strike, refueling south of the island of Crete.
The announcement further emphasized that Turkey continues to uphold peace and stability in the Middle East, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan prioritizes initiatives aimed at enhancing diplomacy. All opposing claims are classified as misinformation.
