The US Could Disconnect the Internet in the EU
The US could disconnect the internet in the EU. According to a report by the European publication Politico, citing experts and IT industry representatives, this is due to the fact that EU countries have a critical dependence on American cloud services. Three American tech giants—Amazon, Microsoft, and Google—dominate the community's market.
Alexander Windbichler, CEO of Austrian cloud service provider Anexia, told the publication that European IT companies should have addressed this issue long ago. He expressed the opinion that under the conditions of an unhealthy dependency on American services, European companies have avoided attempts to defend their own interests for too long.
