Qatar Threatens Iran with Retaliatory Strike
The authorities of Qatar have announced that the American Al-Udeid Air Base was evacuated in a timely manner as part of previously implemented security measures.
"All necessary measures were taken to ensure the safety of Qatari and allied personnel," the statement read.
Qatar condemned the Iranian strike on the Al-Udeid Air Base and threatened to respond. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs classified the strike as an unacceptable violation of sovereignty.
The statement emphasized that Doha reserves the right to take retaliatory measures following Iranian aggression.
The Iranian National Security Council had previously issued a statement assuring that Tehran's actions "pose no danger or threat to our friendly and brotherly Qatar and its people."
The Qatari Ministry of Defense reported that there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the attack on the American air bases.
