Britain Was Aware of Strikes Against Iran
Ofelya
The United Kingdom did not take part in the overnight strikes against Iran conducted by the United States, but Washington informed London about the impending attack. This was stated by Jonathan Reynolds, the UK Minister for Business and Trade, during a broadcast on Sky News.
“I want to assure you that the United Kingdom has not been involved in these attacks,” said the official.
Regarding the notification of upcoming strikes by Washington, Reynolds added, “I can’t give you a specific time of when we were informed, but as you might expect, we were kept informed.”
The minister also assured that flights for the evacuation of British citizens from the region should be organized “within hours, not days.”
