Pashinyan's Latest Statement

Pashinyan's Latest Statement

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has written:

“In response to my emphasis on the rules of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, some clergymen have replied that these rules do not significantly regulate the Church's relationships today, referring to certain decisions made by the Synod of the Armenian Church, decisions of the Supreme Spiritual Council in 1924, and subsequently decisions of the national-ecclesiastical and episcopal assemblies which are ‘validated with the signatures and seals of all Catholicos of All Armenians, as well as certain regulations and directives set forth by some Catholicos who reigned in those and later centuries.’

Very well, publish the rules related to the issues I have raised. Use those rules to substantiate that the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church can have a child who can legally inherit all properties and assets of the Church. Use the rules you mentioned to prove that an archbishop can be a fornicator. Use the rules you mentioned to justify that all profits from candles sold in churches can flow into the pockets of the nephew of Ktrich Nersisyan or the son of his sister. Address and illuminate these issues in today’s Sunday sermons. The faithful followers of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church are awaiting your clarifications.”
