Azerbaijani Arrested on Espionage Charges Linked to Iran's IRGC

An Azerbaijani citizen linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been arrested in Cyprus on espionage charges. He was reportedly preparing an attack on a military facility in the region.

The police press service has confirmed that the suspect is of Azerbaijani nationality. Official information regarding the case is scarce; however, Cypriot authorities have stated that the court has extended the suspect's detention by 8 days.
