Electric Networks of Armenia Fined 10 Million Drams
On June 18, 2025, the Public Services Regulatory Commission imposed a fine of 10 million drams on the Electric Networks of Armenia company for recorded technical and commercial violations. This information comes from the official release of the results from the June 18 meeting published on the Commission's website.
The Commission conducted short-term monitoring of three branches of the company from February 3 to 14, 2025, examining the quantity and quality of electricity supplied to consumers and recorded by meters. As a result of the monitoring, a number of deficiencies were identified related to the technical condition of the meters and their boxes, accuracy of registration, and violations of consumer rights.
The company provided its explanations without denying the recorded violations. As a result, the Commission fined the company 10 million drams, which must be transferred to the state budget within one month.
Additionally, the Commission has obliged the company to eliminate all similar violations across its entire service area by December 31, 2025, to pay penalties for violations of consumer rights where applicable, and to submit information to the Commission within one month.
