Are You Not Fulfilling the Wish Declared by Nikol Pashinyan from the NA Podium? Minasyan to Alen Simonyan

Considering the urgency of the motion that declared criminal prosecution against me, why was it placed last on the agenda?

Today, during the regular session of the 9th convocation of the National Assembly, the Secretary of the 'Hayastan' faction, Artsvik Minasyan, addressed NA President Alen Simonyan.

Simonyan noted, 'Your colleague Seyran Ohanyan has written me a letter informing me that he will not be attending the session due to a malfunctioning leg prosthesis. As you know, we cannot discuss the prosecutor’s motion if the person named in the motion is not present in the hall and is absent for legitimate reasons. That is why the agenda has been arranged in such a way that Ohanyan can be present.'

However, Minasyan countered, 'I am talking about the criminal prosecution against me. This is a country where collective criminal liability should not be questioned. I am speaking about the motion regarding me and urging that it be discussed promptly, so that the public can quickly see what political persecution has started against me. Are you not fulfilling the desire that Nikol Pashinyan announced from the NA podium?'

'As for making a decision in the near future, we will discuss this issue in the next session, so do not worry,' concluded Simonyan.

It is noteworthy that the Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan submitted a motion to NA President Alen Simonyan to allow for public criminal prosecution against the head of the 'Hayastan' faction, Seyran Ohanyan, and faction secretary Artsvik Minasyan.
