"Sit Down, Traitor": Arthur Hovhannisyan to Gegham Manukyan

During today’s session of the National Assembly, in his speech, MP Arthur Hovhannisyan from the ruling Civil Contract party addressed the schools built during the presidency of second president Robert Kocharyan, stating: “The opposite has happened with them; they have stolen from the poor and distributed to the rich. Robin Hood has been misunderstood by them. Maybe they were told the wrong fairy tales during their childhood, like this little one, they were told tales as children…"

Referring to Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Dashnaktsutyun faction, he said: “You cannot speak on behalf of thousands of people…"

“Just be quiet during my speech; cut your voice, go to your place Gegham Manukyan, sit down, traitor!" Hovhannisyan exclaimed.

National Assembly President Alen Simonyan did not approve of his colleague's behavior: “First, don’t provoke, speak respectfully; I will give you a warning, I might even turn off the microphone.”
