The State Revenue Committee Refuses to Update Software for Certain Operating Cash Register Models
Today, Auroranews has received numerous complaints from entrepreneurs. They are highly upset, stating, "Who is the importer of these devices, as the price of new cash register machines ranges from 80,000 to 95,000 drams?" Auroranews has approached the State Revenue Committee for clarification.
In response to the complaints regarding the software updates for certain cash register devices, the State Revenue Committee reminds that as of September 5, 2024, a notice was posted on the "Electronic Reporting System," informing taxpayers that the MF 2351 model cash registers will no longer be usable and will not be subject to servicing from January 1, 2025. This is due to the non-compliance of these models with the current requirements for accepting cashless payments.
The agency has stated that according to information published on the official website of the Central Bank of Armenia, in accordance with the rules set by international payment systems, terminals at newly registered card-accepting sales points must necessarily support contactless card processing and ensure an appropriate level of data protection.
