Recep Tayyip Erdogan has had a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin. The Presidents of Turkey and Russia discussed the conflict between Israel and Iran, bilateral relations, and regional issues.

According to Turkish media, Erdogan emphasized that Israel's attacks against Iran pose a threat to regional security. He stated that the stance of Netanyahu's government, which contradicts international norms, is a clear threat to the international system, and the region can no longer tolerate a new war.

Erdogan announced that Turkey has focused on diplomatic efforts from the very beginning to halt the attacks. He stressed that the only way to resolve issues with Iran is through diplomacy, and it is necessary to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible.

The Kremlin also provided details about the phone call, indicating that the leaders expressed their support for an immediate halt to military operations and for resolving contentious issues through diplomatic means. Additionally, Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to the Turkish side for assisting in organizing direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
