Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Statement
The Iranian Foreign Minister has recently spoken with representatives from numerous countries, stating that all nations in the region have unanimously condemned this act of aggression. This was announced by the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baqayi.
“All countries in the region have unanimously condemned this crime. They understand that the flames of this unrest can spread at any moment,” he said.
Baqayi pointed out that the recent attack on the oil facilities in Asaluyeh demonstrates the “Zionist regime's intention to drag others into conflict.” He noted that a meeting of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will take place soon, during which this issue will be the main topic of the agenda.
“Iran’s nuclear program is the only one in the world whose legality is confirmed by Chapter VII of the UN Charter. Such a peaceful program has been subjected to an attack by a regime that possesses nuclear weapons itself. This is a deadly blow to the nuclear non-proliferation system and international law,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson declared.
