There are Armenians on planes that made emergency landings in Baku. The Union of Armenians of Russia has addressed the foreign ministers of Armenia and Russia regarding this issue.

“Ara Abrahamyan, president of the Union of Armenians of Russia, has appealed to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, requesting that everything possible be done to ensure the safety of Armenians who have found themselves on planes that made emergency landings in Baku due to events in Iran. More than 10 planes made emergency landings in Baku on the morning of June 13, including flights from Moscow, Minsk, Kazan, and other cities to Dubai, as a result of restrictions imposed in the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Israel. Among the passengers on these flights are citizens of Armenian descent who were heading to the UAE,” the statement reads.
