Confirmed: Israel Strikes Uranium Enrichment Facility

Julya

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that Israel has struck Iran's Natanz uranium enrichment facility. The agency's director general, Rafael Grossi, stated that the organization is closely monitoring the situation in Iran.

“The agency is in contact with the Iranian authorities regarding radiation levels. We are also in touch with our inspectors in the country,” said IAEA head Rafael Mariano Grossi.

At the same time, the IAEA announced that Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant is not targeted. The international agency confirmed that the nuclear power plant located on the Persian Gulf coast “has not been targeted, and no increase in radiation levels has been observed at the Natanz facility.”

Iran's state broadcaster reported that several explosions occurred at Natanz, Iran's largest nuclear site, following the Israeli attack. The New York Times published a map of Iranian nuclear facilities that have been hit by Israeli strikes.
