Azerbaijan Checks Radiation Levels at Border with Iran: Media

Azerbaijan is inspecting radiation levels at its border with Iran. This was reported by a source from the country’s state structures to RIA Novosti.

“Specialists have been sent to the Astara region (the Azerbaijani border with Iran). They have already begun research to study the radiation level in the air. They are examining the level of radioactive waste in the air by scanning vehicles entering Azerbaijan from Iran,” said the source.

Earlier, it was reported that radiological and chemical contamination was detected in Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz following Israeli strikes.
