Chambarak Municipality Issues a Statement
The Chambarak Municipality has issued a statement with deep sorrow regarding a tragic incident that occurred on June 11 at 08:34 AM. A fire breakout and collapse was registered in one of the apartments at 4 Tigran Mets St., which, according to preliminary information, was caused by a gas explosion. As a result, the apartments on the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd floors collapsed, and some adjacent entrance apartments were also damaged.
As of June 12, the number of casualties has reached six. Of the eleven injured hospitalized on June 11, eight are receiving treatment at the Chambarak Health Center, while one citizen, who was in extremely critical condition and transferred to medical facilities in Yerevan, could not be saved. The health conditions of the remaining injured individuals are assessed as moderate to satisfactory, and they are all receiving appropriate medical assistance.
Considering the situation, the Chambarak Municipality assures that everything necessary will be done to ensure that those affected by the disaster are not left without shelter and necessary conditions. Decisions regarding the building and long-term responses will be made later.
The municipality expresses its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster and conveys its gratitude to all organizations, institutions, and individual citizens for their efforts in conducting search and rescue operations at the site, providing moral and physical support, and offering assistance as needed to the affected community.
