The Program Must Become an Effective Tool, Putin

The share of modern weapons in Russia's strategic nuclear forces stands at 95%, the highest among all nuclear powers in the world. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As noted by the President, the new state arms program should focus on the creation of the most advanced weapon systems. “The new state arms program must become an effective tool for implementing the recently approved program of naval forces development by 2050,” said the Russian President.

In his opinion, the experience of regional conflicts and military operations should be maximally utilized in the long-term planning with a comprehensive set of systems and weapon samples. Russia must take into account the global trends in military technology development, as the number of countries actively working in this direction is increasing.

From the perspective of the Russian President, the state arms program for 2027-2036 should be linked, in terms of timelines and measures, to the development plan of Russia's defense-industrial complex.
