Search and Rescue Operations Halted in Chambarak, Says Ministry of Internal Affairs Spokesman
Search and rescue operations in Chambarak have been halted, and standby duty has been established. This was reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, on his Facebook page.
The extensive search and rescue operations carried out following the explosion that occurred today in building number 4 on Tigran Metz Street in Chambarak have been suspended, and standby duty has been set up at the scene to address ongoing issues.
As a result of the search and rescue operations involving about 282 rescue workers and police officers, the body of a man who had previously been missing was also discovered. Five individuals have tragically lost their lives as a result of the incident.
Inter-agency efforts continue at the regional and community levels, engaging local authorities to assess the needs of various groups, including building residents, for necessary medications, food, and shelter, as well as to neutralize the aftermath of the accident and other immediate concerns.
Approximately 35 rescue workers are involved in the standby duty on Tigran Metz Street in Chambarak to ensure the prompt resolution of ongoing issues.
