US to Reduce Financial Support for Ukraine
The United States will cut funding in the budget for the 2026 fiscal year that was allocated for Ukraine to purchase new weapons. This was announced by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth.
“There are cuts in this budget. You know, the current administration has a very different view on this conflict,” he stated.
Hegseth added that according to the stance of former President Donald Trump's administration, a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations is in the interests of both parties to the conflict and the United States.
