We Have Conversations with Azerbaijan: Mirzoyan on Gunfire Reports
Armenia is prepared to investigate the gunfire reported along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, with indications suggesting a willingness from the Azerbaijani side as well. This was stated by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a conversation with journalists.
“Of course, we inform the Azerbaijani side about the gunfire. We state that according to our information, there have been shots fired, and we also provide factual data showing that these shots are coming from the Azerbaijani side, which we make public as well. The Azerbaijani side, in its public statements and during meetings, claims that they are not firing, but that we are the ones shooting. We respond by asking them to provide factual evidence, and we propose to form a joint investigative mechanism with specialists who can approach the specific locations and try to study these circumstances. We have conversations with the Azerbaijani side, and there is some sort of understanding... Work is currently underway in this direction,” he said.
