Police Provide Update on Gunshots Heard in Avan

On June 10, at 11:12 AM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) received a report from the "Saint Gregory the Illuminator" medical center indicating that an ambulance had transported a 76-year-old woman with a gunshot wound.

Joint efforts by various divisions of the MIA police have established that an incident occurred on Khudyakov Street in the Avan administrative district of Yerevan, reportedly involving two individuals. During the event, one party opened fire, resulting in injuries to a 31-year-old man involved in the incident, as well as the aforementioned woman who was a bystander. Both victims are currently receiving appropriate medical attention.

Law enforcement officials have identified the individual responsible for the crime. Extensive measures are being undertaken to locate him and recover the weapon used in the offense. Further information will be provided.
