EU Presents 18th Sanctions Package Against Russia

EU Presents 18th Sanctions Package Against Russia

Sanctions against Russia's atomic industry and atomic exports, contrary to expectations, have not been included in the draft of the 18th package of restrictive measures by the European Union against Russia. This was reported by TASS.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that proposals were made to impose sanctions against the "Nord Stream" gas pipelines, as well as to introduce limitations on credit organizations and tankers, and to reduce the price cap on oil.

The publication notes that neither the EU chief nor the head of the EU diplomatic service, Kaia Kallas, mentioned Russian atomic projects in Europe or the supply of Russian fuel for nuclear power plants.

Previously, it became known that the European Commission proposes to impose sanctions against 70 courts and 22 banks as part of new sanctions against Russia, leading to their removal from the SWIFT international payment system.
