U.S. Treasury Secretary Strikes Elon Musk in the Eye

The Washington Post has published details of a dispute between businessman Elon Musk and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bencin. The newspaper, citing former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, reports that Musk and Bencin clashed right at the White House. The incident took place in April.

It all started with accusations. The businessman had promised to find one trillion dollars in budget savings but only managed to identify a hundred billion. Following this, Bencin labeled Musk a fraud. Musk then shoved the Treasury Secretary with his shoulder, after which he received a blow to the eye.

Trump intervened, stating that they were crossing the line.

It is noteworthy that Elon Musk appeared at the White House farewell press conference wearing a hat and sporting a bruise under his right eye.
