Russia to Deliver Multi-Target Strikes on Ukraine in Coming Days
The United States believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin's threat to retaliate against Ukraine for last week's drone strikes has not yet been seriously executed. A new significant, multi-target attack is likely, according to Reuters, citing American sources.
One of the agency's interlocutors noted that the attack is expected in the coming days. Another source indicated that the response would likely include various types of weaponry, including missiles and drones. Russia has already conducted such combined strikes more than once. Additionally, the first source suggested that Moscow's assault would be asymmetric.
It is worth remembering that Russia carried out a combined strike on Kyiv last Friday. The Russian Defense Ministry referred to it as a response to 'terrorist actions' without directly mentioning the drone attacks on strategic aviation airfields.
A Western diplomatic source reported that although Russia’s response has already occurred, it will likely be intensified, targeting symbolic Ukrainian sites such as government buildings to send a clear message to Kyiv.
