What Is Your Business, We Are Calling for a Military Coup or Not: Ruben Rubinyan Refers to Mikhail Saroyan
The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, addressed Mikhail Saroyan.
“Yesterday, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan once again reiterated his statement from a few days ago about how external forces have informed him that if Nikol Pashinyan is re-elected, Armenia will turn into a center for drugs and money laundering, a place for the distortion of family models, etc. This time, he also added that external forces stated that Armenia will become a 'camp of color revolutions'. I reiterate, if the Reverend Father is correct, then he is an agent of external forces. If it is established that this is the case, it is necessary to immediately clarify which forces' agent he is, and it is also essential to investigate what connection the esteemed Reverend Father has with the direct leader of this story, His Holiness Karekin II.
I hope that the latter will clarify his attitude regarding the alleged recruitment of the Archbishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church. By the way, about a year and a half ago, another distinguished archbishop, Mikhail Achapahyan, declared that 'A military coup must be carried out, otherwise Armenia will become an Ermenistan.' At that time, I did not take this seriously, considering that the Reverend Father was simply in a mentally unstable state. After all, the life of a churchman is a difficult one, and one must approach it with understanding.
However, after Bagrat Saroyan's confession, a question arises: perhaps it was also 'external forces' that urged Mikhail Saroyan to make such a call? This needs to be clarified. I also hope that the Reverend Father will elucidate this. I also hope that he will not respond in his usual manner, saying, 'What is your business, we are calling for a military coup or not.' Because, undoubtedly, it is our business,” wrote Rubinyan.
