Trump Calls for Temporary Delay on Russia Sanctions Bill

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Senate Republicans to temporarily postpone a bill that would tighten sanctions against Russia. This was reported by Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Senator Roger Wicker, as reported by The New York Times.

“I know he has asked their leader, John Thune, not to present the bill this week,” Wicker said.

According to American media reports, the bill in question would expand restrictions on Moscow, including sanctions against the defense sector and financial institutions.
