Germany to Supply Modern Weapons to Ukraine
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has announced that Ukraine could receive its first long-range combat systems in the coming weeks as part of a joint project with Berlin. He made this statement at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Brussels.
According to Pistorius, the production of these systems in Ukraine will accelerate the supply process, as the country already possesses the necessary capabilities. “The advantage is that it will be possible to produce a significant amount of long-range weapons this year,” the minister noted.
He added that the first samples would be ready for use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the near future. It is worth recalling that on May 26, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced the lifting of all restrictions on the types of weaponry supplied to Kyiv by Germany and its allies. Similar decisions had previously been made by the United States, Great Britain, and France.
