We Will Discuss Humanitarian Initiatives: Fidan

The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in his opening remarks at the ongoing negotiations in Istanbul, stated that one of the topics for discussion among the delegations of Russia and Ukraine is the possible meeting between the leaders of the two countries.

He noted that during the second phase of negotiations, the conditions for ceasefire and prisoner exchanges will be discussed.

“Today, in this meeting, we will assess the prospects and views of both sides regarding the ceasefire, as well as discuss humanitarian initiatives and the preparatory work for a possible meeting of the leaders,” Fidan said.
