Iran Emphasizes the Conduct and Approach of U.S. Politicians, says Iranian Foreign Ministry
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, stated that any text containing radical and extremist demands that ignores the legitimate rights and interests of the Iranian people will undoubtedly not receive a favorable response from Tehran, according to RIA Novosti.
"We must wait and see what decisions will be made in the upcoming consultations with the Omani side. What matters for Iran is the conduct and approach of American politicians, not just their statements or claims," he declared.
Referring to reports from various media about the decision to lift new sanctions against Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted: "Iran does not consider such reports reliable. It is clear to us that the lifting of sanctions is a fundamental element of any agreement with the United States, and without the implementation of this principle, no understanding or agreement can be formed."
Esmail Baghaei added, "So far, the Islamic Republic of Iran has seen nothing from the American side that would give confidence regarding the actual lifting of sanctions, and media reports without practical and official guarantees will not serve as a basis for Iran's decisions."
