What Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan Declared

The Armenian ambassador to Russia, Gurgen Arsenyan, has submitted his property, income, and expenditure declaration for 2024 to the Anti-Corruption Committee. This was reported by 168.am.

Similar to last year, Arsenyan declared 17 real estate properties, including a plot of land in Nor Kesar community of Armavir region, a residential house in Gyumri, Shirak region, a publicly significant building in Dilijan, Tavush region, and a plot of land with a residential house in the Arabkir administrative district, all of which he solely manages. All the properties mentioned in the declaration were acquired between 1999 and 2015.

As at the beginning of the year, he has maintained his four cars at the end of the year: a 2014 RANGE ROVER purchased in 2014, a Mercedes Benz bought in 2015, a Nissan manufactured in 2018 purchased in 2019, and a Bentley made in 2019 bought in 2020.

In 2024, Gurgen Arsenyan enriched his stocks worth millions of drams with shares bought from “Sayma Ink” at a value of $250,000.

The list of the ambassador's property valued at over 4 million drams includes silver cutlery, furniture for the bedroom, living room, and dining room, collections of paintings, gold ingots, commemorative coins, binoculars, and watches. It also includes furniture purchased from Trio Interiors for 2,500,000 rubles in 2024 and cryptocurrency worth $250,000 bought from Artak Hovhannisyan.

The cash holdings of the Armenian ambassador to Russia during the year have appeared as follows: starting the year with $977,600 ending it with $917,000; starting with 6,780,000 drams and ending with 3,800,000 drams; starting with 58,000 euros and ending with 42,000 euros; and bank accounts starting with $449,995.1 and ending with $54,825.51.

Gurgen Arsenyan's declared income for the reporting year has significantly increased compared to the previous declaration, amounting to 33,181,092.24 drams in 2024. This income came from various sources: 8,800,000 drams from “Unicorn Group” LLC and $17,846 from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with 884,060 drams as wages and/or equivalent payments also from the Ministry, 6,676,316 drams from the Staff of the National Assembly as wages and/or equivalent payments, 2,160,000 drams from rental payments received from “Unicorn Group” LLC, and a dividend of 7,800,000 drams also from the same company.
