WhatsApp to Stop Working on Certain Smartphones

WhatsApp representatives have announced that starting June 1st, support for several older smartphones will be discontinued.

"Beginning this Sunday, WhatsApp will only work on iPhones running iOS 15.1 or newer. Devices operating on Android 5.0 or earlier versions will also be cut off," the statement said.

Smartphones with such operating system versions have long lost their relevance. Users are urged to update their operating system or replace their phones with newer models whenever possible.
