The U.S. Expels a Group of Georgian Citizens
The U.S. has expelled a group of Georgian citizens. This follows a statement from the Georgian Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs. Georgian media outlets have reported on the matter.
The plane transporting the expelled individuals landed at Tbilisi International Airport. The Ministry of Health did not disclose the number of people involved. Based on footage from the scene, it appears to concern at least two dozen individuals.
The citizens were greeted at the airport by Deputy Minister of Health Giorgi Tsagareishvili, who provided them with information about government programs and services designed to assist those returning to their homeland in adjusting.
According to data from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as of November 2024, there were 833 Georgian citizens on the expulsion lists from the country.
