Putin Sends Letter to Saudi King: Details

The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has received a letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the Saudi state SPA news agency.

"The Keeper of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has received a written message from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, regarding bilateral relations between the two countries," the agency's statement said.

The king received the letter through the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraiji, who met with the Russian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sergey Kozlov, the day before. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia, as well as recent events occurring in the Middle East and around the world.
