Prime Minister Has Not Targeted the Church, Gegham Nazaryan

Gegham Nazaryan, a member of the National Assembly, stated that if Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had asked for his advice before making a public statement, he would have urged him not to proceed with that statement. He emphasized that the country’s top official should not use such language.

“Pashinyan is not targeting the church. He makes a statement and then begins a debate not about what he said, but about the fact that he allegedly said something else. This leads us nowhere. No one benefits from this—not the state, not the church, and certainly not the suffering people,” he said.
