Everyone Talks About the Risk of Escalation Except Senior Officials: Hayk Mamijanyan

Everyone talks about the risk of escalation except for senior officials of the Republic of Armenia. This was stated by Hayk Mamijanyan, the leader of the 'Honorary Title' parliamentary faction, during a briefing with parliamentary groups.

“They are aimed at doing everything to whitewash Azerbaijan. Why are they struggling and writing press releases? They should just share the statements of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense,” said Mamijanyan.

He noted that representatives of two great powers, Russia and the United States, have also spoken about the risk of escalation in recent days. He said that while he cannot have precise information about border movements, the statements from international organizations and high-ranking officials of great powers indicate how dangerous the situation around Armenia has become.

He emphasizes that the current situation is dangerous not only in terms of regional but also geopolitical developments.

Mamijanyan did not rule out that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan may have a secret agreement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to “carry out escalation to intimidate the Armenian people.”
