Customs Authority to Serve Export Process Under New Regime Starting June 1

The customs service for goods exported from the Republic of Armenia (including to member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union) will operate under a 24/7 regime from June 1, 2025. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee.

As a result of this reform, customs declarations for goods exported from the Republic of Armenia (including to EAEU member countries) will be accepted, processed, and goods will be released around the clock, on any day and at any time starting June 1, 2025. This operation will be carried out by specially designated staff within the customs authority.

In order to alleviate the congestion at border crossing points and reduce waiting times for exports from the Republic of Armenia, the Committee urges exporters to carry out customs procedures as much as possible within the country.

It should be noted that before this reform, the export process was only serviced during working days and hours, while during non-working days and hours, the export formalities could only be carried out at border crossing points, which led to additional congestion and waiting at those points.
