Lavrov Identifies Main Threat from the West

The main danger comes from Western forces that perceive multipolarity as a challenge to their dominance and, therefore, seek to obstruct objective processes. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“The primary threat comes from Western forces that attempt to hinder the objective processes of multipolarity, viewing them as a challenge to their global supremacy. They are unwilling to relinquish the advantages of politics, finance, and trade that they have retained since the colonial era without a fight. They are now trying to maintain these advantages using neocolonial methods,” Lavrov remarked during a plenary session of international public-political hearings addressing issues related to the formation of a unified, equal system of security and cooperation in Greater Eurasia.

According to him, such a worldview regarding the world order is unnecessary from the West, especially since BRICS countries have “outpaced” the G7 countries in economic indicators.
