Ukraine Will Certainly Respond to Russian Proposal, Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine will certainly respond to the Russian draft of the ' memorandum' concerning steps to establish peace in the ongoing war. Zelensky made this announcement during a press conference.

He reminded that Ukraine has supported an unconditional ceasefire and the establishment of a truce, as well as advancing diplomatically through any format and participants. Ukraine is also ready to meet with the Russian side, both directly and with the mediation of the U.S. or Europe.

'Russia presented corresponding conditions in Istanbul, and we were able to agree on the exchange of thousands of prisoners. That was a good outcome. However, regarding the ceasefire, Russia was not ready for the remaining steps on the agenda from the Istanbul meeting. They said, we will return to you with certain signals,' Zelensky stated. According to him, the U.S. and Turkey have conveyed the same information to Ukraine from the Russian side.
